I have to say when this job came up I thought it had something to do with the movie. Thankfully it was more interesting. I recently photographed a family owned transformer manufacturer in City of Industry for a business review magazine. Admittedly I don’t really understand how transformers work, but I learned how they make them! There’s a lot of winding involved, I can tell you that. I love factories and seeing the process of how things, even everyday things that we take for granted are made. Starting with the raw materials to the final touches, factories are fascinating. I’d love to photograph more of them.

I recently photographed Stephanie and her family. Turns out we’re from the same neighborhood in Queens. Small world . I am photographing Stephanie’s twin daughters joint Bat Mitzvah in December, so ahead the event we took some portraits with grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. The weather was great and girls were adorable. Here are two photographs from the day.

I recently did some photography for jewelry designer Andrea Montgomery from Texas. In addition to the more straight studio shots, I shot the jewelry on a model and did a blur technique so the pieces really stand out. Her jewelry is gorgeous and it was fun to shoot. Take a look. Amy and Josh were recently married, but before the big day we had a photo session in and around Griffiith Park. I scouted out some locations the day before and decided to shoot at the great old vintage “Californian” sign and also at Travel Town where they have all these really great antique trains. The day was fun and it was exciting to shoot such a stunning couple. Both Amy and Josh have modeled so they were very comfortable in front of the camera. You may recognize Amy from Ladies Who Launch. She’s a wonderful gal who has inspired me tremendously. Josh is a World Champion Rower and creator of fitness program Indo-Row. Here are some of my favorites:

Dr. Venus was referred to me by Amy Swift of Ladies Who Launch. Initially she was looking to do a professional portrait for her website and publicity kit. Her husband had the idea for me to come to their house and do a family portrait as well with their adorable 7 month old son. The shoot was really a lot of fun and I am very excited about the photographs. We did a few different set ups but my favorites were some shots we did in a small room in their house that has a gold foiled wall. They came out really well and gave everything such a nice warm glow. And of course you can’t go wrong with the beach! This entire family is gorgeous so I have to give them some credit for these great photos. I was also amazed by how many times their son was looking directly into the lens for the shot, pretty amazing for a 7 month old! We plan to do a shoot every six months so It’ll be great to capture this little boy a as he grows into a little man. Here are some of my favorites. I’d love to hear your feedback!

Yesterday was Ladies Who Launch Live! in Los Angeles. The event was held at the beautiful Dermalogica headquarters in Carson. The day featured guest speakers including Arianna Huffington and Jackie Collins! The main benefit of Ladies Who Launch is the opportunity to connect with other like minded entrepreneurial women and exchange ideas, resources and support. I’m going into my second year as an ongoing member and it has been a great experience. Other than reconnecting with old friends and meeting some great new people, the icing on the cake of the day was free shoes from Naturalizer!

I know Sarah from a great organization called Ladies Who Launch. I am photographing her wedding to Pierre in late April and recently went to thier home for an engagement photo session. They were so adorable and kept giggling and kissing the whole time. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

I recently shot engagement photos for Caroline and Thierry, whose wedding I am photographing in August. We shot it on the first day of daylight savings so we had an hour more of light. Right around 5:30pm the light was absolutely gorgeous surrounding thier home. We ended the shoot with Caroline & Thierry having a huge pillow fight - super cute! Here are some of my favorites from the day.

When it rains it pours…so they say! Well tommrow I have a job with Stefan Studer shooting Oscar de La Hoya’s manager for a Swiss magazine in the morning. In the evening we will be shooting Project Runway phenom Nick Verreos in his downtown LA space. So excited about that - I got a bit hooked on that show while I was on vacation over the summer. Then I’m working with a German photographer I haven’t worked with before, Oliver Spies - doing a renegade day long fashion shoot around L.A. for the German magazine Woman. We’ll be driving around in a mini van with a model stylist and makeup artist - shooting in as many locations as possible. I’ve got a few spots up my sleeve….which I’ll be sharing with you soon. Gotta rest up. Happy Valentine’s Day!
